This is NOT a professionally led or guided weekend.  This is your TRIBE!  We encourage riders to mix and mingle.  For sure you'll find someone with similar skills and riding style.  For sure you will connect with riders familiar with the area.

We will be based out of Gunnison KOA Campground.  NO GROUP CAMPING.  Please make your own camping, lodging arrangements.  Camping, cabins, hot showers available at Gunnison KOA Journey Campground. Primitive camping options at Hartman Rocks Recreations Aream (a few miles from KOA.)  Hotel/Motel options in Gunnison.

We WILL raise funds to support SheADV Women Exploring on Two Wheels.  If you choose, you'll have the opportunity to donate.  

Saturday we WILL have a group dinner at a local restaurant (Possibly at Pie-Zans Pizza and Pub.)

Gunnison, Colorado is a high mountain town (7710' elevation) in the heart of some of varied and glorious motorcycle riding. With Hartman Rocks Recreation Area, Taylor Park, Crested Butte, Ohio Pass, Kebler Pass, Marshall Pass and Powderhorn; riders can enjoy single track, dual sport, ADV, and road riding. There is something for everyone!

October 10-12 is the tail end of camping season and a bit past the height of fall color peeping. Which means most of the tourists will be gone! In 2024, Shal and Pat Jacques of ADVWoman found plenty of beautiful fall colors and scenery, without the pressure of crowds. October temperatures typically range from 29F-60F. Our riding days kicked off around 9:30-10 and we returned to camp around 4 or 5. Layered clothing is key.
